Mariachi Infantil

The Texas State Youth Mariachi program, Mariachi Infantil, began in the fall of 2006. The idea came out of a need for quality Mariachi education for the San Marcos youth. Students study instrumental and vocal techniques and learn Mariachi music from some of the best teachers in the area.  

Students are put into levels based on their age.  Classes are held once a week with performances throughout the semester at community events such as Sights and Sounds of Christmas and Feria del Mariachi.

All students must provide their own instrument and instrumental supplies.

Rehearsals

Students rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings at the Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos located at 211 Lee street. 

Schedule

Level 1 - grades K - 2nd - 5:30pm - 7:00pm

Level 2 - grades 3rd - 8th - 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Program Cost
The program tutition is $10 per week paid monthly.
