Mariachi Lince de Oro, our second mariachi, was founded in the Fall of 2008. The class is dedicated to the study and performance of the true Mexican art form known as Mariachi. We study and perform music in many styles such as Son, Huapango, Bolero, Polka, and many others. Though still very new to the Texas State University multicultural music family, Mariachi Lince de Oro has already competed twice at the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza in San Antonio, TX.
