Ensemble Auditions
Ensemble auditions for both the Salsa and Mariachi Ensembles are held during the first week of classes each semester. NOTE: For the soring 2012 auditions, Salsa del Rio and Mariachi Nueva Generacion students from fall 2011 do NOTneed to reaudition. These auditions are for Orquesta del Rio, Mariachi Lince de Oro and replacements for Salsa del Rio and Mariachi Nueva Generacion.
Audition results will be posted outside office #148 by Thursday, January 19th at 8:00 a.m.

Vocal Auditions
These auditions are for:
- Salsa ensemble singer
- Singing opportunities in Mariachi
- Solo Voice Studio
Directions:
- All vocalists MUST sign up for an audition time outside room 148
- Prepare 2 songs in contrasting styles
- Provide your own PISTA recordings or accompanist. Do not sing along with a recorded vocalist.
- If you’re auditioning for both Mariachi and Salsa, prepare one in each style
- Dress appropriately
NOTE: You MUST audition on voice to be considered for any vocal assignments in Mariachi
